About the Race
The Spokane Triathlon - USAT sanctioned
International (1.5K swim, 40K bike, 10K run)
Sprint (.75K swim, 20K bike, 5K run).
Date: Sunday, July 31, 2011
Race Start:
6:30am - International Distance Men, 6:35am - International Distance Women and Teams
7:00am - Sprint Distance Men, 7:05 - Sprint Distance Women
Cut Off Times: Based on the safety of all the athletes the following cutoff times will be enforced:
7:35am- Swim Cutoff (Athletes who have not entered the swim to bike transition by this time will NOT be permited to continue in the event)
In order to make this time cutoff athletes must average at least the following pace during the swim: 4 minutes per 100 Meters
9:20am- Bike Cutoff (Athletes who have not entered the bike to run transition by this time will NOT be permited to continue in the event)
In order to make this time cutoff athletes must average at least the following pace during the bike: 14.9 miles per hour (International), 7.5 miles per hour (Sprint)
11:00am- Run Cutoff (Athletes who have not finished the event will NOT be permited to continue)
Cost: $80 individual international, $120 relay international, $75 individual sprint, $120 relay sprint
Location: Riverside State Park – Lake Spokane (AKA Long Lake)
Directions: From I-90, take exit 280 (Maple St.), travel north across the Spokane River. Take a left on Northwest Blvd. Stay on this road until Francis Ave (Hwy 291), take a left. When the road bends north, it becomes Nine Mile Road. Travel for six miles. After going through the town of Nine Mile Falls, travel past Charles Road. Take a left into the Lake Spokane boat launch just past Charles Road.
Packet Pick Up: Saturday July 30, 2011 10am-1pm. ATHLETES MUST PICK UP THEIR OWN PACKET- so plan accordingly. Bring Photo ID and USAT Membership Card (if you have one).
